The Cascina Cornella farmhouse is a family-run farmhouse born in 2014 in the area of the same name, once an obligatory passage for those who, from Cremeno, had to reach the Passo della Culmine San Pietro and therefore the Bergamo area. With the advent of the new provincial road which passes from Moggio, the mule track lost its importance and only a few years ago, thanks also to the presence of our farm, there was a renewed interest in the locality and its many facets. Our work translates on one hand into the refurbishment of the lost pasture that reached the Ponte della Vittoria and lapped the Pioverna stream and on the other hand in the breeding of low court animals and in the cultivation of small fruits, aromatic herbs and vegetables. . Next to the farm there is the possibility of refreshment and accommodation. The dining room can accommodate up to about 30 people: the cuisine is based on the Valsassinese and Lombard tradition. Everything that is produced in the farm is brought to the table, transformed into tasty recipes: there are numerous collaborations with local farms and artisans that allow us to expand the offer to our diners. The accommodations are four: two rooms are located on the ground floor (“Lucia” and “Giovanni” are their names), each with independent entrance and private bathroom with shower, both have a terrace area with a view of the Grigne Group; two rooms (“Flora” and “Fauna”) were instead created between 2020 and 2021 in a wooden structure just under a hundred meters away from the farmhouse and characterized by a beautiful patio. Here too the rooms have independent entrances and private bathrooms with showers. While for the rooms on the ground floor there is the possibility of adding a folding bed or a camping cot, the two rooms in the annex are designed to accommodate a maximum of two people each in double beds or, on request, in single beds. By our choice, there is no TV in the rooms, on the other hand there is a free Wi-Fi network. In the bathroom of the “Lucia” room there is a washing machine for guests to use. In the dining room there is a library corner full of books dedicated to the territory (Valsassina, Lecco up to Lombardy) and a corner dedicated to reading and games for children. Our farmhouse is the starting point, especially during the winter, for the nearby ski destinations of the Piani di Bobbio and Artavaggio while in the warmer months it is perfect for those who want to get closer to hiking and the many other sports activities promoted on site (cycling , e-bike, running, tennis, free-climbing). Finally, the proximity to Lake Como and its beauties should be taken into consideration, as well as other possibilities for practicing lake sports.
