The Locanda Cardinello, located in Isola, a hamlet of Madesimo (SO), has origins deeply rooted in the history of Valchiavenna.
In fact, since the year 1722, the Stua has offered refreshment and accommodation to the numerous travelers who, particularly during the summer season, pass on foot from the Via Spluga, the ancient path of Roman origin that leads to German Switzerland through the pass of Spluga.
