Villa Bagatti Valsecchi is located in Cardano, the lowest-lying hamlet in the municipality of Grandola ed Uniti. Although the village has retained its rural character, the many villas and opulent residences add a touch of elegance and blend in perfectly with the surrounding countryside. The villa was built in the 17th century and then extended and raised in the 18th and 20th centuries. It is built around two courtyards on two different levels: one facing the river, with views of the foaming waters of the Sanagra 90 metres below; the other opening on to the centre of Cardano.
