From Dorio we go up towards the church of San Giorgio and the church of the same name in the Mandonico hamlet. We pass Torchiedo and Il Guasto farmhouse to reach the beautiful historic center of Corenno Plinio. An uphill path between two dry stone walls leads us to join the SS 36 and, a little further on, we proceed on via Monastero to the Castello village and the Torre di Orezia. We go down the steep steps and continue along the provincial road and via Pietro Giglio to reach the bridge over the Varrone stream in Dervio.
